Trotwood home destroyed in early morning fire

TROTWOOD — A Trotwood home is considered a total loss after a fire caused heavy damage early Tuesday morning, according to fire officials.

Crews responded to a fully engulfed house fire at the corner of Catalina and Marlin avenues in Trotwood around 3:27 a.m.

Captain David Downey with Trotwood fire said that one woman and two young men made it out of the fire safely.

Downey also said the three were displaced by the fire but had another place to stay.

It’s unknown at this time if they had any working smoke detectors.
