DARKE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 10:10 a.m.:
Three interconnected barns that housed hogs were destroyed in an early-morning fire west of Versailles Monday morning.

Fire crews responded to the farm in the 6700 block of Brown Road around 6:30 a.m. on reports of a barn fully engulfed in flames.
The structure, which consisted of five interconnected barns, suffered damage to three of the barns, firefighters said.
The owners of the property are currently assessing how many hogs were killed or injured. Firefighters said a farmer was able to get some of the hogs out safely.
Fire departments from Darke, Mercer, and Shelby counties responded, but no firefighters were injured.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Firefighters continue to battle a barn fire with hogs inside on Brown Road Monday morning.
Crews were dispatched to the fully involved fire around 6:30 a.m., per initial reports.
The fire appears to be mostly contained, with crews working to put out hot spots, according to our crew on scene.
