House left scorched after overnight fire in Huber Heights

HUBER HEIGHTS — Crews were called to a house fire in Huber Heights early Monday morning.

Initial emergency scanner traffic reported crews responding to the 6500 block of Shore Drive just before 1:00 a.m.

Three people, two dogs and a cat were saved after the occupants were alerted by a smoke detector according to a post on the Huber Heights Fire Division’s Facebook page.

Additional reports say heavy smoke is showing from the building.

Video from the scene showed heavy damage to the siding of the house.
