Crews respond to multi-vehicle crash in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — Crews were called to respond to an injury crash involving multiple vehicles in Springfield Tuesday evening.

Springfield dispatch confirmed crews were called to respond to the crash at the intersection of Glenn Avenue and Lexington Avenue.

News Center 7 crew on scene reports seeing at least four cars involved in the crash.

There were also reports of possible shots fired prior to the accident, but dispatch said it is not known if it was related to the crash at this time.

News Center 7 is working to learn how many people were injured and how the crash happened.
