18-year-old charged with murder in Dayton shooting

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 2:59 p.m. (Sept. 17):

A man was indicted on murder and felonious assault charges connected to a deadly shooting in Dayton earlier this month.

Bryant Lee, 18, of Dayton, is charged with two counts each of murder and felonious assault in the Sept. 4 death of 30-year-old Timothy Delaney in the 4200 block of Midway Avenue.

Lee, aka Bookie or Booky, remains in custody and is scheduled for arraignment Thursday, court and jail records show.

UPDATE @ 10:23 a.m. (Sept. 4):

The victim has been identified as Timothy Delaney, 30, of Dayton. The Montgomery County Coroner’s office said they have not determined Delaney’s cause or manner of death.

A Dayton police report shows police are investigating Delaney’s death as a homicide.

UPDATE @ 2:05 a.m: The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has been called to the scene of a shooting that occurred on Midway Avenue this morning.

Crews are responding to the 4200 block of Midway Avenue on a reported shooting that occurred early Tuesday.

The incident was dispatched around 1 a.m., per initial reports.
