Electrical fire in Germantown home attic prompts crews to respond

UPDATE @ 11:20 p.m: An electrical fire in the attic of a home in Germantown prompted crews to respond Saturday evening.

Per initial reports, smoke was coming from the attic in the home in the 30 block of Rogers Drive around 9:40 p.m.

Crews were able to knock the small fire out quickly with no injuries reported.

The home’s owners will not be able to stay in the house tonight as DP&L were forced to cut the electricity off to further assess the fire.

Fire crews are on scene of a structure fire in the 30 block of Rogers Drive in Germantown.

The incident was dispatched close to 9:40 p.m. on reports of smoke coming from the attic, per initial reports.
