Upper Bellbrook Road remains closed after car crashes into pole

SUGARCREEK TWP. — UPDATE @6:37 a.m. Dayton Power & Light has arrived on scene of a early morning crash to replace a damaged pole.

A car crashed into a pole around 2:20 a.m. on Upper Bellbrook Road at Fauber Road. The driver was trapped in the vehicle for about an hour because power lines were down.

Twenty-two DP&L customers are without power in Greene County.

UPDATE @5:56 a.m. Upper Bellbrook Road at Fauber Road remains closed.

UPDATE @ 3:15 a.m: A woman was trapped inside her vehicle after crashing into a pole in Sugarcreek Twp. early Thursday morning.

Power lines were on top of the vehicle, which prompted DP&L to be called for safety reasons.

Officials were able to rescue the woman almost an hour after the crash occurred.

It is unknown if she suffered any injuries, according to our crew.

Upper Bellbrook Rd. at Fauber is still blocked off while crews handle the incident.

UPDATE @ 2:50 a.m: Upper Bellbrook Road at Fauber Road is currently blocked off after a single-vehicle crashed into a pole in Sugarcreek Twp.

DP&L is en route to repair a pole down and power lines.

Currently, no outages have been reported as a result of the crash.

Units are on scene of a single-vehicle crashed into a pole on Upper Bellbrook Road and Wildwood Lane in Sugarcreek Twp.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning around 2:20 a.m.

There are reports that the pole may be down, as DP&L have been requested.
