Tuesday’s fire happened in a tornado debris pile that is estimated between two and three stories high. Firefighters are using a contractor with an excavator to break down the piles and get to the source of the blaze.

The official cause of Tuesday morning’s fire is unknown and still under investigation. Arson has not been ruled out as a possible cause of the fire and employees told firefighters they have been dealing with trespassers who are on their property to fish, investigators said.

Firefighters are expected to be at the facility until at least noon today to fully extinguish the fire.

No injuries have been reported.

Wagner Ford Road was initially shut down but completely reopened just before 4 a.m.
