SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 9:20 a.m.:

A home received damage to the first and second floor after a fire on South Race Street around 6:20 a.m. Saturday.

Fire crews say preliminary investigations show the fire could have been a result of an electrical overload.

The home needed heating repairs and a space heater was found in each room, the Springfield Fire Department said.

They believe the heaters may have caused the old electrical system in the home to become overloaded.

The roof of a shed was also damaged in the fire.

No one was injured in the incident.
