Central Ohio Crime Stoppers on Wednesday honors four Columbus police officers who last fall stopped a man from jumping off a Broad Street overpass and into traffic on I-71.

The incident last September, which began as an investigation of a man accused of assault, was captured on police body cameras, our news partners at 10tv.com (WBNS) reported.

Someone pointed out the suspect to Officer Ryan Erney, who chased the man to the overpass where he tried to jump a concrete wall that separated the on-ramp from the freeway.

Officer Scott Wright ran to Erney's assistance and grabbed the man's pants.

Two other Columbus police officers, Jared Barsotti and Alan Bennett, arrived and grabbed the man's legs. All of them yanked the suspect off the side of the wall and arrested him.
