CRUISER CAM: Pursuit leads to crash involving four vehicles

Dayton — Cruiser camera footage from the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows the moment a chase ended in a crash involving four vehicles.

OSP told News Center 7 the pursuit started out as a report of a reckless operator, which led to a traffic stop late Tuesday night.

According to OSP, a trooper tried to pull over the driver. Dash cam video shows the driver take off in a vehicle on I-70.

Troopers then followed the driver on I-75 south when he tried to get off at Needmore Road.

The video shows the driver slam into three other cars stopped at a red light on the exit ramp.

Troopers believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The driver and one of his two passengers suffered minor injuries.

One driver and one passenger of the three other vehicle involved claimed minor injury.

Prosecutors have not formally charged the driver.
