MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Two local CVS stores have announced they will be closing their doors in May.
CVS locations at 7541 North Main Street in Dayton and 1785 Woodman Drive in Kettering will be closing on May 25, according to a CVS spokesperson.
Recently a CVS on East Stroop Road was closed in early February.
All prescriptions from the 7541 North Main Street location will be transferred to the CVS at 4901 North Main Street.

Prescriptions from the 1785 Woodman Drive location will be moved to the CVS at 1300 Wilmington Ave in Kettering.
“Maintaining access to pharmacy services in our communities is an important factor we consider when making store closure decisions. Other factors include local market dynamics, population shifts, a community’s store density, and ensuring there are other geographic access points to meet the needs of the community, including COVID-19 testing and vaccinations,” CVS said in a statement.
Employees at both closing locations will be offered comparable roles at other locations, according to CVS.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Originally information WHIO received cited May 28 as the closing date for the CVS stores. The date we received was incorrect and has now been updated to the correct date of May 25.
