Dangerous heat on the way; how long it will stick around

DAYTON — Dangerous heat is on its way to the Miami Valley.

Storm Center 7 Weather Specialist Nick Dunn is tracking this heat wave. He will have the latest timing and risks LIVE on News Center 7 at 11:00 p.m.

Several days with temperatures in the 90s are expected.

The region will see highs near 90 on Thursday, due to the hot and stagnant air in place an Air Quality Alert was issued for parts of the region.

But possible record heat is expected to hit us over the weekend.

On Sunday heat index values are forecast in the low to middle 90s.

Monday and Tuesday are when we could see record temperatures with heat index values near 100 degrees.
