DAYTON — Two new performers have been announced for the upcoming Dayton Air Show this summer, air show officials announced Tuesday.

The Red Bull Air Force and Redline Air Shows will join headliner, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, for the 49th annual air show on July 22 and 23 at the Dayton International Airport.

The Red Bull Air Force will perform for the first time in Dayton.

“The team combines more than 10,000 skydives, 6,000 BASE jumps, and performs over 60 demos each year. A team of four skydivers will perform a demonstration of wingsuit formations and low-altitude stunts with light and smoke effects to thrill spectators,” a spokesperson with the Dayton Air Show said.

The aerobatic duo Ken Rieder and Adam Baker of Redline Air Shows have also been added to the air show lineup. From an early age, Rieder attended the Dayton Air Show, which gave way to pursuing a career in aviation. Award-winning pilot, “Shakenbake” Baker has an extensive history in competition and freestyle flying.

“It’s great to see such exhilarating, world-renowned acts joining our 2023 lineup. We’re really excited to see so many Red Bull performances that’ll thrill our spectators, and to welcome back locally-based Redline Air Shows to the skies that inspired Ken to be an aviator,” Chairman of the United States Air & Trade Show Board of Trustees, producers of the show, Scott Buchanan said.

Officials with the air show plan to announce more attractions to both the air and ground show in the coming months. For more information about the 2023 CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show presented by Kroger, including ticket prices and options, visit the air show’s website.
