VANDALIA — The last weekend in July, the United States Navy’s Blue Angles will take over the sky in Vandalia for Dayton’s Air Show.

After an extremely hot weekend in 2012, the air show moved to June hoping for a cooler summer weekend.

But organizers found it rained more in June, so back to July it is.

“Trying to get out where we have some drier weather and maybe not as much as the clouds and things where they can do the higher shows and we get more people out,” Scott Buchanan, Dayton Air Show board president said.

This airshow will be Blue Angel’s first Dayton demo flying the new Blue Hornets.

The air show is set for July 30 and 31 at the Dayton International Airport.
