Dayton Dragons host auditions Oct. 27 for entertainment positions

The Dayton Dragons are conducting auditions for several positions on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Fifth Third Field.

Auditions are for the ‘Green Team,’ on-field entertainment hosts, and mascot performers for the 2019 season, according to a release. They will include dancing, improvisation, and interview questions.

The Green Team is the professional entertainment staff that facilitates all in-game skits during games and other special events. They welcome fans, select and prepare contestants for skits, interact with Dragons mascots and on-field hosts, dance on the dugout, and shoot t-shirts to fans in the seats, read the release.

On-field hosts serve as the emcees that introduce contestants, skits, and contests during inning breaks.

Mascot performers, Heater and Gem, are part of nearly every skit, interact with fans, and make appearances within the community outside of games, read the release.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old as of Jan. 1, 2019, and should dress comfortably.
