The Dayton Dragons will be wearing stars and stripes jerseys Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Bowling Green Hot Rods.
These special jerseys are being worn as a part of Hometown Heroes American Celebration Night at Fifth Third Field, according to a release.
Each jersey worn by the 25 players and four coaches will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds benefiting the First Sergeants Council, which funds and operates “Operation Warm Heart.” This program assists Airmen and their families by receiving financial help in emergency family situations and in random acts of kindness, the release stated.
Fans can also participate in the jersey auction following the game by visiting www.daytondragons.com/jersey.
