Dayton man accused of beating 3-month-old, failing to report injuries for days

DAYTON — A man told police he hurt a baby “due to his frustration at the child’s continuous crying, a video he was actively playing, and work stress,” according to court records.

Logan T. Green, 28, of Dayton, faces a felony charge of child endangering. Police arrested him Tuesday after interviewing him.

Officers responded to Green’s house in the 4500 block of Apple Tree Court on March 28 after being requested to take the baby to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

“During a previous visit, x-rays taken of the child revealed multiple healing rib fractures,” court records read.

Green told police he was responsible for the child’s injuries and that the baby was hurt “almost a week prior to the child being examined at Dayton Children’s Hospital.”

A judge set Green’s bond this afternoon at $25,000 and he was appointed a public defender to represent him.
