Dayton Police and Fire introduces new member of the K9 unit

DAYTON — Dayton Police and Fire has a new K9 member.

In a Facebook post Wednesday morning, Dayton Police and Fire announced that Officer N. Speelman and his new K9 partner, Scooby, completed the OPOTA training curriculum.

According to the Facebook post, Scooby is certified as an explosives detection and patrol canine and is also trained in ballistic recovery.
