DAYTON — The Dayton Police Department held a funeral with police honors for Officer Michael Saylors, who passed away earlier this month after a brief cancer battle.
Saylors was a 22-year veteran of the department and was a member of the department’s Community Problem Response Team, assigned to the city’s east side.
The funeral will take place today at 11 a.m. at the Christian Life Center on 3489 Little York Road.

After the funeral, a procession went to the safety building in Downtown Dayton before making its way back to the funeral home.
