DAYTON — The Dayton Police Department recruit severely injured in a crash on State Route 4 earlier this month was released from the hospital.

Recruit Solomon Kessio was released from Miami Valley Hospital Tuesday to continue his recovery, the Dayton Police wrote on social media.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle involved in the crash that injured Kessio and three other DPD members have both been released.

“The Dayton Police Department and Kessio family appreciate all of the support and ask for your continued prayers for all involved in this crash,” DPD said in a Facebook post.
Kessio was doing speed training when the crash happened.
