DAYTON — The Dayton Police Department is warning the community that they have been seeing an uptick in stolen vehicles in the area.

Many of the vehicles being stolen are ones that are left running or have keys inside, police said in a Tweet Saturday.
“We know it’s hot, and air conditioning makes a car more comfortable, but please turn off your car and take your keys with you every time you get out,” they said.
