Dayton Public Schools’ food program to offer free meals for kids throughout the summer

DAYTON — Dayton Public Schools is gearing up to kick off their summer food program.

The program offers free meals for children 18 and under throughout the summer.

Beginning June 6 and running until July 29, breakfast, lunch and a snack will be available in various churches, summer camps and schools that are holding summer programs.

District officials say there will not be meals available on the district holidays scheduled for June 20 and July 4.

DPS is sponsoring the program with the Ohio Department of Education.
