DAYTON — UPDATE @ 3:45 p.m.:
Police shot three dogs, killing one, after they responded to a call of a possible dog attack at a home on Wyoming Street this morning, police said. A fourth dog involved was not shot.
“I was panicking, hysterical really. I did not want them to shoot,” said Alexis Keeton, who owns the dogs.
Keeton’s four dogs were fighting in the backyard and her neighbor heard Keeton screaming for help and called 911.
One of the dogs police shot died and the others are still receiving medical treatment at a local veterinarian, officers said.
Keeton said tried to separate the dogs, but feared she might get attacked.
“I tried getting behind them and pulling them apart,” Keeton said. “I was also scared one of them would attack me.”
