HARRISON TOWNSHIP — A death investigation has been launched after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound in Harrison Township.

Dayton police were in the area of Klepinger Road and Seibenthaler Avenue recovering a stolen car when they discovered an unresponsive man nearby in the woodline, according to Maj. Jeremy Roy with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The Dayton officer noticed the man appeared to be dead and had a gunshot wound.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the scene to investigate as the scene falls within Harrison Township.
Roy described the man found dead as a Black male in his late 20s or early 30s.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene as crews work to determine if the shooting was self-inflicted or the result of a crime.
