VANDALIA — Demmitt Elementary School will be dismissing students early today due to high temperatures.
The elementary school announced the early dismissal on their Facebook page citing an announcement from Superintendent Rob O’Leary.
O’Leary wrote in his announcement, “Demmitt was very hot today, and with face masks being required, it makes it feel even more hot and uncomfortable. Therefore, we will be dismissing Demmitt early at 1:15 pm on Wednesday, August 26.”
