KETTERING — Demolition crews finished knocking down the old Friendly’s restaurant in Kettering Tuesday.

The building sits in the Kroger parking lot at the corner of Stroop and Shroyer Roads.
It has stood empty for years.
The plan is to replace the building with additional parking and more landscaping.
Friendly’s closed in 2014 when the national chain shut down a number of restaurants.
