1 injured in Sugarcreek Twp. crash

SUGARCREEK TWP. — One person was injured in a crash in Sugarcreek Twp. Tuesday afternoon.

Sugarcreek Twp. Fire Captain Joshua Johnson told News Center 7 that they were called out on a single-car crash in the 2500 block of Upper Bellbrook Road. The driver was reported to have been trapped in the car.

When they got on scene, first responders found a white car that had crashed into a small ravine.

Crews on scene had to remove the top of the car in order to safely remove the female occupant from the car.

The driver was then transported from the scene to a local hospital. Johnson said she was in stable condition.

The crash, which happened around 2:20 p.m., closed a portion of Upper Bellbrook Road for over an hour.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
