Police investigate reported stabbing at Montgomery County gas station

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Correction: A previous version of this story indicated the crime was being investigated by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. A sheriff’s office spokesperson has since told News Center 7 the incident is being investigated by Dayton police after the stabbing was found to have happened at a different location.

Dayton police are investigating after a man was stabbed somewhere in the city and ended up at a Harrison Twp. gas station.

Medics, deputies, and police were all called on a report of a stabbing at the Sunoco gas station at Needmore Road and North Dixie Drive around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, only identified as a male, was found with an injury to his hand. He was treated at the scene by medics and declined further treatment, a Dayton police spokesperson said.

Through the course of the investigation, officers determined the stabbing happened at a different location within the city limits of Dayton.

It was not not known if police had any suspects or had made any arrests. Dispatch records indicated the suspect in the incident was only described as a female.
