UPDATE: Threat reported at Harrison Twp. school deemed not credible

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 11:05 a.m.: 

Written bomb threats on the wall of a Harrison Twp. school was deemed as not credible following an investigation by deputies, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Summit Academy Transition High School was placed on lockdown around 8:30 a.m. this morning after the written threats were found in a bathroom, Denise Henry, spokesperson for the school said in a statement.

Deputies and school staff searched the building and found nothing suspicious, officials said.

The school was allowed to resume to normal schedule for the remainder of the day.

Investigators said a reported threat at the Summit Academy in Harrison Twp. was ruled as unfounded, according to deputies.

Officials said school activities were expected to resume shortly after deputies cleared the scene around 10 a.m.

Deputies are investigating a reported threat at the Summit Academy high school on Erdiel Drive in Harrison Twp. Wednesday morning, according to dispatch records.

Fire crews and a medic unit were asked to stage near the school while the threat was investigated, initial reports indicate.

A call to the school seeking comment was not immediately returned.
