PREVIOUS REPORT (Aug. 9):

A woman was shot and killed while police responded to a report of a boyfriend beating on his girlfriend at a house on Ericson Avenue Friday afternoon.

Montgomery County deputies responded to the shooting in the 4900 block of Ericson around 2:45 p.m. The victim ended up dying at the hospital later in the afternoon. Her name has not yet been released.

“My cousin is getting beat on by her boyfriend hitting on her,” a 911 caller said. “The kids are in there and I’m just outside by myself, because he shut the door and I’m trying to call for help.”

Another woman called 911 moments after the shooting happened.

“My boyfriend just shot the gun and now my momma’s not responding,” the second 911 caller said. “He just pulled off.”

The second caller and a third caller provided details on the possible shooter and that person was arrested, according to online records. However, no formal charges in relation to the shooting have been approved.

The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office said the case “will be taken as an investigation by the Montgomery County Grand Jury.”
