JACKSON TWP., Montgomery County — UPDATE @ 2:05 p.m.:

A man has been taken into custody at the house on Farmersville-West Alex Road.

INITIAL REPORT:

Deputies and police from multiple jurisdictions are descending on a house on Farmersville-West Alex Road after a woman reported she and another woman had been held hostage by a man.

“I need help,” the caller told dispatchers.  “He has held me and his mother hostage for a day, two days now.”

Officers responded to the area around 12:30 p.m. after the woman told dispatchers she was able to escape.

“He fell asleep and I just took on out the door,” she said. “I’m trying to hide in case he comes.”

The incident is in the 1600 block of Farmersville-West Alex Road.

Investigators were still working to verify what the woman told dispatchers and it’s unclear if the other woman is still in the house with the man.

The woman told dispatchers the man may have a gun.

Officers are using a speaker system to try and get someone to exit the house.
