Man killed in weekend homicide in Dayton identified

UPDATE @ 4:05 p.m. (Sept. 24):

A 40-year-old man who died by a gunshot wound to the torso over the weekend in Dayton was identified as Timothy Truesdale of Dayton, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

FIRST REPORT

Detectives are investigating a homicide in the 400 block of Hunter Avenue in Dayton Saturday, according to a police report.

Crews were dispatched at 4 p.m. Saturday after a caller told police of a body in a restroom in the area, according to dispatch records. The caller offered to lead police to the body.
