‘Difficult, but necessary;’ Local flower shop to close after nearly 80 years

MIAMISBURG — After nearly 80 years in business, a Miamisburg flower shop is closing its doors.

Church’s Flowers at 1003 N. Main St will be closed after Dec. 31, according to its social media page.

“We are so appreciative of the support of the community since 1946. It is a difficult, but necessary, decision for us. We will be having a clearance sale Dec 26-31. Lots of decorations and free stuff. Please continue to shop at all the small businesses in our area,” a post read.

The shop is offering 50 to 70 percent off items, according to a sign outside the business.
