The Ohio Attorney General’s Office says that investigators believe that Hooper knew the suspect because there were no signs of forced entry or an indication of a struggle.

DNA from an unidentified male was recovered on her body.

Investigators identified Bruce Daniels, 57, as a person of interest, WBNS said.

Authorities said they matched the DNA after testing an item thrown out by Daniels.

An arrest warrant was filed on Dec.4. Authorities arrested Daniels on Dec. 5.

“Interesting. What would bring that person here? (It) brings closure to a lot of people, may the family from Ohio,” a couple said.

A Franklin County grand jury formally charged Daniels on felony counts of murder and rape.
