Donate blood this week get free Renaissance Festival or Brimstone Haunt tickets

DAYTON — People who register to donate blood this week can get a free ticket to Ohio Renaissance Festival or Brimstone Haunt.

Everyone who registers to donate Oct. 10-15 at the Dayton Community Blood Center on South Main Street will get a free ticket, according to a release.

Donors will also receive a “Ignite the Fight” t-shirt in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

One fourth of all blood donations goes to the treatment of cancer patients, according to CBC.

To donate blood, donors are required to prove a photo ID that includes their full name, be at least 17 years old, weight a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good physical health.
