Downed trees reported after storms move through Montgomery County

Storms that moved through the area Thursday morning have brought down trees in at two locations in Montgomery County.

Around 8:10 a.m. a tree fell onto a house in the 100 block of Five Oaks Avenue in Dayton. No injuries were reported but some damage was visible.

Police and fire crews also blocked the area of Old Springfield Road and Frost Road in Vandalia after a tree and utility lines were brought down around 7:30 a.m.

A tree was also knocked down and blocked a portion of Brantford Road in Harrison Twp. around 9:30 a.m.

Storms that moved through also knocked out power to around 2,400 DP&L customers mainly in areas around Harrison Twp.
