Firefighters went to Willow Run Drive near County Line Road just after 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Chemicals reportedly found in the water have gotten the Environmental Protection Agency involved.
News Center’s Brandon Lewis spoke with a man who noticed something strange in the creek Thursday.
Mark Morgan called 911 after seeing dead fish in the creek.
He told Lewis he had never seen anything like this in his 50 years of living in Greene County.

“I told them something in the creek that’s killing the marine life,” he said.
Morgan has never seen anything like this.
“You can see all of them up through here,” he told Lewis.
Firefighters found chemicals in the creek and some dead animals.
“They found a large amount of chemicals in the creek and some dead animals as a result of that,” said Nathan Hiester, Beavercreek Township Fire Department Division Chief.
Among the dead animals were fish, frogs, and turtles in the water.
News Center 7 asked Hiester how many they were, he told us dozens.

The Ohio EPA is now trying to figure out what’s in the creek and where the chemicals came from.
“The spill is contained to the creek and as the water continues to flow through the chemicals should be filtered out by our booms and our hazmat remediation,” said Hiester.
Meanwhile, neighbors have questions and want answers.
“And it’s something that’s kind of concerning that there’s something in the creek that’s killing wildlife?” News Center 7 asked.
“Yep,” said Morgan.
Lewis reports the chemicals in the water may have come from a residential street in the area, according to Hiester.
News Center 7 has reached out to the Ohio EPA for information.
