Driver crashes into state trooper’s cruiser then flees in Miamisburg

MIAMISBURG — A driver crashed into a state trooper’s cruiser then fled in Miamisburg Saturday overnight.

A white pickup truck collided with a state trooper’s cruiser on state Route 725 under the Interstate 75 overpass, dispatchers for the Dayton post of the department stated. The pickup truck’s driver then fled the scene.

State troopers alerted nearby law enforcement agencies to assist with tracking the hit-and-run suspect.

The state trooper involved in the crash did not report any injuries. It is currently unknown if the driver who fled was injured.

The Dayton post of Ohio State Highway Patrol led the investigation into the crash.
