Coroner identifies person killed in Trotwood crash

UPDATE@8:07 a.m.: Zachariah Swisher, 29, has been identified as the person killed in the crash, according to the Montgomery County Coroner's office. No other information was immediately available.

UPDATE @ 4:25 a.m: The Montgomery County Coroner's Office confirm they responded to the crash scene on Wolf Creek Pike Sunday night.

Initial reports indicate a car struck a telephone pole in the 4800 block around 10 p.m.

No other details were immediately available.

A portion of Wolf Creek Pike remained closed into Monday morning while officials investigated the wreck, and  because the pole that was struck caught fire hours later.

Crews, including DP&L personnel, were dispatched again to the crash scene around 4:20 a.m. to tend to the pole fire.

INITIAL REPORT

A car struck a telephone pole Sunday night in the 4800 block of Wolf Creek Pike, according to Montgomery County Regional dispatch.

The crash was reported around 10 p.m. and medics are still on scene.

According to dispatch, the male driver was unconscious.

We are working to learn if this incident is weather-related.
