DAYTON — The Miami Valley is dealing with snow showers and cold temperatures overnight. Drivers could see slick spots for the morning commute.

>>Light snow tonight; Isolated slick spots possible

Snow is causing road crews to treat the roads overnight and there are several slick spots, including the I-75/I-70 ramp, according to initial scanner traffic.

Crews were also reporting snow covered conditions on Northbound I-675 near State Route 48.

The concern for crews is making sure the center and right lanes are open, the right and center, crews said on scanner traffic.

Temperatures are expected to be below freezing overnight and roads could freeze, including bridges, ramps and overpasses.

There was an three-car accident in Miami Township Wednesday night on Lyons Road. Slick conditions are to blame, according to Montgomery County Dispatch.

News Center 7′s Molly Koweek says this is the first time the Miami Valley has seen these conditions during the fall season.

Miami Township road crews put salt on the roads and snow plows are out.

Koweek says it could be slippery if you step on grassy surfaces or sidewalks.

There are also some puddles on the roads that could freeze up as well.

We will provide updates throughout the overnight and morning commute.
