UPDATE @ 8:40 p.m. (July 30): Dustin Vanwey, Patricia Mullins, Darrell Jones and Roger Anthony Brassfield are charged federally after the seizure of suspected meth, guns and cash from a camper and vehicle in Harrison Twp., according to a U.S. District Court filing.
Jennifer Bryant is not formally charged, according to the criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court on Monday.
According to the complaint, investigators found four guns, an estimated 342 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a large amount of cash from a camper believed to have been stolen from Korrect Storage, on North Snyder Road, in Trotwood.
The seizure from the camper was by search warrant, which was spurred by statements Mullins, Bryant, Jones and Vanwey gave after waiving their rights, Special Agent Kathleen Boyce, Homeland Security Investigations, wrote in an affidavit filed with the complaint.
Deputies who discovered a suspected stolen Chrysler 300 the morning of July 28, in the 5400 block of Edgewater Drive, led to the search of the camper, according to the complaint.
Deputies said they observed Jones, who was in the car, smoking from a marijuana pipe. When they ordered him out of the vehicle, they said they found in the car a pistol, a .45 caliber magazine, a digital scale used to measure quantities of drugs and suspected meth in a plastic container.
Jones, in an interview with detectives, directed them to the camper. Bryant, Mullins, Vanwey and Brassfield were inside on the floor or in a bunk, in various states of consciousness.
