News Center 7′s Taylor Robertson spent the day going to several polling locations across Montgomery County. While some locations had no issues, voters did run into some headaches.

Russ Joseph, Deputy Director of the Montgomery County Board of Elections, was optimistic about how Election Day was going, but the poll workers at Thurgood Marshall High School in Dayton disagreed.

“We only had one polling station, polling box, and they had write-in stations but they only have one electoral station and we normally had three or four and they short-handed up last minute,” Ken Woods, a poll worker at Thurgood Marshall, said.

As reported on News Center 7 at 5:00, Woods said they found out they would only have one digital polling station early Tuesday morning and at one point, it broke.

“A guy came here to attempt to fix that machine, he could not,” Woods said. “And we still have to continue on doing what we had to do and we got through the process.”

Jeff Rezabeck, Director of the Montgomery County Board of Election, said they did get a report of a broken machine and it was fixed. While the machine was being worked on, a printer jammed.

Rezabeck said no one was turned away during the technical difficulties.
