Some people eligible for the COVID vaccine are still struggling to get appointments even with more doses flooding into Ohio.

News Center 7′s Kayla Courvell looked into additional avenues to book a vaccine appointment if you are still having trouble.

Major pharmacy chains said they had hundreds of thousands more vaccines for a handful of states, Ohio included.

CVS has around 570,000 doses of the vaccine that they sent out to 17 different states to be distributed this week.

According to their website, CVS has six vaccine locations in the Miami Valley: Springfield, Moraine, Tipp City, Sidney, Piqua and Fairborn.

However, their online portal showed only one location with available appointments earlier this week.

The Biden administration said it was doubling the amount of doses being sent to pharmacies like CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid.

Walgreens has around 480,00 doses of the vaccine sent to 2 different states and jurisdictions.

There is a new tool available for eligible people, a website called Vaccine Finder.

People can type in their zip code and it lists locations where vaccines are being offered and whether or not they have any in stock.

The site pulls information form Walmart, Kroger, CVS, Walgreens, Meijer and more.

The site cannot schedule the appointment for the user but it can help them find nearby locations.
