Dayton house fire under investigation after displacing 2

DAYTON — Firefighters in Dayton responded to a house fire on Parkhill Drive early Sunday morning.

Initial emergency scanner traffic reported a fire on the 2100 block of Parkhill Dr. around 12:07 a.m.

Dayton Fire Captin Matt Sherrill told our crews that the fire started on the first floor and spread to the second.

There were two occupants are living in the house and no one was injured according to Sherrill.

Red Cross was called to the scene and they have provided housing for the occupants.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
