FRANKLIN TWP., SHELBY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 7:51 a.m.:
Medics flew a nine-year-old boy to the hospital and drove his father to a different hospital after their truck rolled over on I-75 and was struck by a semi truck early this morning.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at around 4:22 a.m., Bret Grayson, 46, of Ottowa, Ohio, was driving a 1998 GMC Sierra south on I-75 south of Anna. He lost control, drove into the median and crashed into the cable barrier, tipping over the truck into the road.
OSP said a tractor-trailer hit the pickup truck moments later. The semi driver, Edward Vickers, 60, of Lima, was unhurt in the crash.
Bret Grayson was originally taken to Wilson Hospital in Sidney, but was later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. CareFlight flew Grayson’s nine-year-old from the crash to Dayton Children’s Hospital.
Anna Fire, Anna Rescue, Wrecker’s Towing, and Mantor Towing all assisted state troopers at the scene of the crash.
I-75 was closed for more than two hours while crews investigated and cleaned up the scene.
Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash.

I-75 has reopened, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
INITIAL REPORT:
Emergency crews are on the scene of a rollover crash on southbound I-75 a few miles south of Anna.
Shelby County dispatchers said that Anna Fire and EMS crews are at the scene, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that CareFlight was called to the crash.
Scanner traffic said that the patient being flown to the hospital is a child.
The southbound lanes of I-75 are closed due to the crash.
