News Center 7′s Taylor Robertson talks to organizers and vendors about what they’re focusing on as the festival progresses.

Warped Wing Brewing Company was one of the many trucks at Alter Fest.

“We always encourage responsibility if you’re going to enjoy adult beverages,” Bowman said.

Bowman has been with Warped Wing since it opened in 2014.

He and his family typically spend Labor Day weekend at the Alter Fest.

“I have three boys now, and they love coming up for the games and the rides,” Bowman said.

Archbishop High School CEO and Principal Lourdes Lambert told News Center 7 that safety is a top priority.

“We’re always very well supported by the Kettering Police Department and we have Kettering Police officials on-site always during AlterFest whether it’s day or night,” Lambert said.

People looking to get picked up or dropped off should do so in front of the school.

Lambert said the festival is a way to bring the community together.

There are plenty of rides, games, live music, and new food trucks this year.

“Burgers, mac n cheese, coleslaw, chicken sandwiches, everything completely made from scratch. When I say everything, I mean it,” Owner of The Food Pitt Austin Warman said.

Warman said their food truck has been a popular new spot at the festival.

“It’s going to get busy, you’re going to see a line clear out to the tent later,” he said.

Warman hopes people who show up, “have fun but not too much fun.”
