The Entrepreneur Connection to open third location, help local businesses

A Dayton business owner is using her entrepreneur experience to help other businesses impacted by the pandemic.

The Entrepreneur Connection owner, Tae Winston, just opened up her third location off of Wayne Avenue in the Oregon District and believes her expansion mission is paying off.

Winston’s stores may focus om items like clothing, food and skin care, but she says there’s a deeper meaning.

To do her part, Winston says she is using her multiple store locations as teaching centers to help local businesses and vendors.

“My goal is to offer the classroom, which is new here, to offer anything that will teach you about LLC, and getting your tax ID and commercial spaces that may be available. Just filling in the gap for information they may need,” Winston said.

The Entrepreneurs Shoppe, one of Winston’s other locations in the Wright Dunbar District, has 22 vendors that sell goods.

Around the corner, in the Entrepreneurs Marketplace, there are more than eight vendors.

“I have about 10 businesses under my belt that either have a food truck or have opened their own store, and I’m happy because that’s the goal,” Winston said.

Shardae Fambro, Closet 1019 owner, considers herself one of the success stories after learning from Winston as a vendor at the Connection’s Wright-Dubar location.

Fambro says she was then able to open her own clothing store.

“Having people behind you who believe in you, who pushes you to your limits. to your highest potential, is always great,” Fambro said.

In total, Winston’s multiple locations are set to help 30 local businesses and charging them low rent so they have a space to sell their products.

“I want to be an inspiration to others,” Winston said.
