SPRINGFIELD — A former teacher at Catholic Central High School in Springfield who police say had sex with a former student has pleaded guilty.

Michael McKenna pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery, according to Clark County Common Pleas Court documents.
Court documents allege the incidents took place between January 2017 and May 2018.

McKenna faces up to 10 years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender for life.
He was fired from his position at Catholic Central in March 2024.
McKenna is set to be sentenced on Feb. 3.
