SPECIAL ALERTS: Excessive Heat Warning for Montgomery County, until 8 p.m. Heat Advisory for Butler, Warren and Clinton counties, until 8 p.m. as well.
TODAY: Warm and muggy morning. Some spotty fog possible early, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini said. Temperatures soar back to 90. The heat index will range from 95 to 105 across the Miami Valley. A cold front will approach and showers and storms are expected to develop ahead of it. Showers and storms become more numerous after lunch through early evening. Isolated severe threat similar to Wednesday, with brief flooding possible, strong winds and some hail with a strong storm or two.
FRIDAY: A cold front will pass early but a few showers or storms may be out early. Feeling relief from the humidity during the day. Temperatures reach about 80 with some sunshine returning for the afternoon. Dry and cooler for the evening.

SATURDAY: A beautiful start to the weekend. Highs in the low 80s with lower humidity. Plenty of sunshine through the day.
SUNDAY: Sunny skies and temperatures return to normal, into the middle 80s.
